The Jewish General Hospital (JGH) is one of Montreal's leading providers of dialysis treatment and has one of the fastest growing Hemodialysis programs on the Island of Montreal, performing over 31,500 individual treatments per year. Patients requiring hemodialysis must visit the hospital 3 times per week to receive their 4 hour per-visit treatment and must do so for the rest of their lives unless they are fortunate enough to receive a kidney transplant.
The JGH will be forever grateful to major benefactors, Sandra and Steven Mintz, who have helped establish the new, state of the art Sandra and Steven Mintz Nephrology Centre, headed by Dr. Mark Lipman and the Nephrology Team of Dr. David Bercovitch, Dr. Michael Davidman, Dr. Gershon Frisch and Dr. Sharon Nessim.

This centre contains 37 stations each of which includes a Hemodialysis machine, a multi-function electric chairs, a private TV and internet access for a personal computer or tablet. The centre finally allows patients to receive their treatments in a spacious milieu and with a level of personal comfort that they so greatly deserve.
However, in order to continue this exceptional management across the full scope of chronic kidney disease, the Division of Nephrology requires additional funding to complement the hemodialysis centre with state-of-art general nephrology, pre-dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis clinics. We are therefore proud to direct the funds raised from the 25 th Anniversary Golf Classic towards this most important project.
