Event Description

The 27th annual JGH Golf Classic

Honouring three exceptional Medical Chiefs, benefiting the JGH's Digital Health Initiative

The 2019 Jewish General Hospital Golf Classic, chaired by Howard Dermer and Ted Matthews took place on Monday, June 17 at the Elm Ridge Golf Club and the weather could not have been more perfect – it was warm, sunny with no humidity all contributing to a most wonderful day.

Thanks to dedicated and devoted supporters, the Golf Classic has been one of the most successful golf tournaments in North America. Together the supporters have raised more than $21 million to provide our patients and their families with the most compassionate, state of the art, evidence-based and innovative care possible.

This year we honoured three of our exceptional female medical leaders: Dr. Ruth Chaytor, Chief of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Elizabeth MacNamara, Chief Medical Biochemistry and Dr. Louise Miner, Director of Medical Services.

Health care is on the cusp of a profound transformation We are therefore excited that the funds raised from the tournament will be applied to the JGH's new Digital Health Initiative (DHI) - this project will help push the JGH to the fore of digital health and contribute to allowing the JGH to channel the power of health technologies. Thank you for partnering with us on this exciting journey.
