It seems like something new and exciting happens each and every day as we forge ahead with the JGH Foundation’s “Power to Heal” campaign. Funding a variety of initiatives to bring the very best people, the latest equipment, the most modern facilities and innovative programs to the JGH, we are proud to report that the campaign has surpassed the $175 million mark.
Ever since the campaign’s launch, visible changes have occurred throughout the hospital. From the expansion of Pavilion E to the west and the acquisition of Pavilion H to the north, to the most recent project, a 30,000 square foot expansion of the Division of Radiation Oncology and a new main entrance to the south, we continue to grow to meet the ever-increasing health care needs of Quebecers – proving yet again that as a leading McGill teaching and acute care hospital, the JGH is vital to the health and well being of the people of Quebec.
From the JGH’s first fundraising campaign in 1929 to today’s “Power to Heal” campaign, private donor support has had a profound effect on the hospital and its development. It is seen in our new and renovated facilities and state-of-the-art equipment and felt through important patient programs and research that will not only serve to extend our lives, but to improve them. It is this vital support that empowers us to take the “Power to Heal” campaign to even greater heights as we embark on Phase II of the campaign to build the hospital of the future.
